I’ve spent 18+ years helping companies figure out what to build — and then making sure it gets built right. Now I bring that experience to small businesses and product teams through Built by Jessica.

My story

The hardest part of software isn’t the code.

My career started at Hyland Software, showing businesses how process automation could replace manual work. From there I spent seven years leading product at AT&T/DirecTV — on DirecTV Everywhere, WatchTV and HBO Max apps used by millions of subscribers — and then consulted for Sony PlayStation, PG&E, ITS Logistics and Salesforce.

Along the way I learned that the hardest part is understanding the problem well enough to solve it simply. That’s the part I love: sitting with the people who do the work, mapping how it really happens, and turning it into something clear enough to build.

In 2025 I started Built by Jessica to bring that same approach to small businesses. Today I build with modern AI tools, so ideas become working software faster than ever.
